Mandatory Homing From Laboratories Of Dogs, Cats And Other Animals Which Are No Longer Needed

Motion reads: "That this House notes that there is currently no law protecting dogs, cats and other animals once they have outlived their use in laboratories; and supports the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection in calling on the Government to issue a policy statement that the homing of cats, dogs and other animals no longer required should become a mandatory requirement for laboratories where possible and that laboratories should be required to work with reputable animal shelters and organisations to find homes for these animals."
